Victoria (USA: MT) (2008/11/23): it is an atocity how the native americans were treated, especially after it was their compassion that enabled the first settlers to survive. i find it interesting that so many americans are against hispanics and other immigrants nowadays, when they're all immigrant land stealers themselves. they purport to have freedom of religion but they did not give it to the indians. this country was founded by some amazingly intelligent, spiritual, and visionary men who used as the model for their constitution the already existing "iriquois confederacy.' so how many americans know that their contry was based upon american indian ways. their belief that might is right may come back to haunt them someday. what goes around comes around, and even as jesus says, he who would kill by the sword must also die by the sword. they laughed at the indians belief that no man can own the land. in fact this is the truth. this earth owns us if anything. you are only borrowing a few molecules while your here on a short stay, only the mountains live forever. it is also interesting to note that approx. 80% of all americans have at least a little bit of native american blood flowing in their veins. it is my belief that only when we can all see ourselves in all of our fellow men and animals and plants, will we be able to overcome this childish need for war, greed, fear, control, and discrimination. we are all a part of each other, and that is the truth of it. just because you may not understand that yet, does not change the truth one iota. we're all in this s--- together and none of us are getting out alive.
