Status message:
I am disabled, so usually have to wait for a carer to post books in a convenient post box, or my son to post, when he goes in to the post office once a month to get my pension for me, and also for the same reason, usually have to wait for funds to post as am on a very limited budget. For this reason, due to the recent heavy postal increases, I'm now having to limit all mooches to a minimum of 2 books per mooch as it is now too expensive to send just one book at a time, sorry. Also, as of April 2012, due to horrendous increases in postal charges, I cannot afford to send any books to overseas moochers at present. Sorry about this, but only on pension credit, so money is really tight just now.

Bio:
I could probably be best described (well politely anyway) as an elderly eccentric. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, so obviously read a lot, also watch a lot of tv - I like quizzes and whodunnits, and my british soaps.
I love Christmas, in fact as you see if you check my wishlist, I'm a Christmas nut. Again, I read whodunnits and Christmassy books, so if I can combine the 2 in one book, all the better.
I live alone except for my 3 babies, my little cavalier spaniels and a cat (dont think you can describe a cat as actually belonging to anyone, this one just comes and goes as she pleases)
I get my books from charity shops(via friends), bookmooch, readitswapit, internet booksites, etc so they're not always mint, but I would alway say if there was a serious problem with condition. I don't smoke, and generally would not buy a book if it smelt of smoke.

I have about 4,000 books stacked up my stairs and on the landing bookshelves, don't remember what there is myself (my late husband had a used bookshop, and all the stock was just put upstairs when he died.) so if you dont see the one you want on my inventory, please ask anyway and I'll ask a carer to check for it when they have the time to spare. Happy reading!
