Status message: Just mooch away, from anywhere in the world, without asking first. Bio: I'm one of those people who can't get enough of reading. I like reading many different kinds of books as long as I can be thought provoked or just for the pleasure of it. I tend to keep my favourite books with me but Bookmooch is proving to be a wonderful outlet for those books that I don't mind letting go of. Besides, I can make some extra space for other, yet more interesting books.
My wife is very much into books too, and so is my little boy who, at the age of three, is already turning into a book lover, flipping those pages and demanding that I read them to him.
We have a cat so have that in mind if you are allergy-prone. We don't smoke - be it at home or outside - so books won't have that nasty smell. All books I'm giving came from me in the first place so they are not inheriting stuff from previous owners.
I send my books in regular envelopes as they help reduce postage costs. So far I sent over 60 books to various places and no one complained about their state on arrival. Besides, all books in my inventory are paperbacks and they don't get damaged as easily as hardbacks. All packaging that I receive is properly disposed off and recycled.
