INTERNATIONAL - OTHER THAN CANADA I CANNOT SEND SINGLE BOOKS as I get dozens of internat. requests per week. In general I will request you ask for 2-3+ books (Canada excepted, unless large books), as sending single books by air mail (our only option) is so costly. If you mooch three or more, and they fit into the package, I can offer one point back on 3rd, 4th, etc, books.

I'm also one of your friendly neighborhood site admins, so am glad to help out as your Bookmooch tour guide :) You may see my name, or those of my colleagues, double-listed upon closed or suspended account cancellations.

I don't reject requests, packages are sent media mail, or sometimes 1st class if light.

Most books have condition descriptions. I've entered many, many books, so expect terse notes. The assumed standard here is a good reading copy, so while I may list like-new books on occasion, most are indeed used and will display normal reading wear as such. Heavy wear, writing within, different ed, or damage, such as rips, is noted.

You'll find an eclectic listing here, as I have long run a book trading group between several university campuses where I teach and do my research (not taking new members, too many as is!); Bookmooch has become our cyberspace protrusion of choice. So, the majority of the books listed, and also those mooched, are for my colleagues and students. I manage all shipping, communications and condition notes, so expect consistency in these areas. Expect recycled packaging (and bike transport!) as I run a deep-green operation. We function as a kind of giant 'Angel' network, with many mooched books sent for a second time.

Our group sends a great many books via international air mail, so we sometimes sell some of the books we mooch to meet shipping expenses. If you would rather not have us ever sell your book, just send a note and we will make sure the book is for trading only. We can also set aside books mooched in the past, so if you see a book was mooched by this account, just send an e-mail and we will make a note to reserve it if relisted, but cannot promise when or if it might be listed again on Bookmooch.

I have a dog who smokes. No, not really, mine is a smoke and animal free home, although most are used books, and many are not mine, so I cannot vouch for all previous owners.

I have a passion for photography and photo books (art books, not how-to) let me know if you have any you want to trade -- I could either offer a significant number of my listed books or some of my own photo books not in this inventory. My wishlist suggests my favored artists.
